🔍 Brief overview – the legal differences
Type Approval of Parts (e.g., ABE/ECE):
The royal road to legality – no additional costs after installation!
Officially granted approval: The component may be used immediately within the specified scope of use without further registration.

Partial Certificate:
Only usable for a limited time – regularly high additional costs for registration after installation!
Technical certificate as a basis for approval and registration – only applicable until June 2028; after that, in these cases, only individual approvals are possible (comparable to material certificates).

Material Certificate:
Important basis – only usable through individual approval, with increased costs!
Proof of material and strength properties – no road approval, usually serves exclusively as basis for individual approval.

MAX CARBON has been consistently relying independently on Type Approvals (TTG) for vehicle parts since 2025.
We apply for TTG vehicle by vehicle for our customers.
For existing applications without type approval, we create the basis for legally secure registration vehicle-specifically using material certificates according to § 21 StVZO.
